One of
the best things about a PokerStars download is that there are always new
promotions to prevent you from getting bored. You’ll have the standard WSOP and
deposit promotions, but PokerStars also likes to host their own live poker
tours and sometimes they even host region-specific events. Today I am going to
talk about “The Big Game”, one of the latest and greatest promotions going on
right now for American and Canadian players. You may have even seen TV commercials about it –
the site has been advertising it in hopes that it will encourage a few new
players to make a PokerStars download.
The Big
Game is a new cash game in Vegas that will be shown on national TV. If you can
qualify for the show, PokerStars will give you $100,000 to play poker hands
against various poker professionals. Your goal is to turn this $100k into as
much money as possible because at the end of it all, you get to keep all the
profit you make.
You can
qualify for The Big Game by entering freerolls on one of the play money poker
sites, PokerStars.net. The freeroll qualifiers run four times per day until
June 25th, and the top 300 from each qualifier move on to Round 2.
If you can place in the top 1,000 players in Round 2, you get to move on to
Round 3, the final round.
It’ll be
tough, but your goal is to place in the top 200 of Round 3 so that you have the
chance to send the top dogs at PokerStars a casting video. Your casting video
should explain why you think you deserve to be on The Big Game, and I imagine
it can’t wouldn’t hurt to suck up a little bit and slip in that you think
PokerStars is one of the top Texas Holdem sites on the internet today ;) If you
can impress the judges, you’ll be invited to be on the show.
